Picked up a used FZ with 2,000 Miles on it and decided a budget friendly bike needs a budget friendly build.

This won’t be a “frame-off build” more of an avg joe style go at it. with a healthy combination of name brand and eBay parts sprinkled in there.

The end-style of the bike will be decided as I go. Expect some things to work and other things, not so much..lol should be fun.

First thing, was to clean up the bike. Has been sitting in a shed for 2 years, not properly cleaned😥

Wet/Dry sanded the the pipes leading to the water-pump cover. They had Road grime pitting/abrasions

Each were roughly 40$ but remember this is a budget build and now 80$ can go towards something else.

Hit them with a high temp enamel and let it sit for 24hrs.

Congrats and welcome aboard! Looks nice and smooth and a good choice of paints, it should last while! More pics as you mod along.

M4 RM1 exhaust installed tonight. Interesting exhaust note.. for 670$ it was the best ‘bang for the buck’ without compromising quality, sound, or appearance.

Woodcraft rearsets go on tomorrow (hoping they fit with the system) Then I start playing with the design.
