Thats all phi? You and the gf need to get out more :P
I keep wanting to go on some longer rides up north, but it's so damned hot! Also, I'm not sure if her ass can handle more than an hour on that passenger saddle.
Hit me up if you're goin up north... id love to get out of the valley for a little while

The human body is a very versatile thing.  Start with some 30 mins rides, then some 60, then 90, etc... You'll be amazed how comfortable it will feel once you condition your/her body to get used to it.
I've ridden 135 miles of single track in a day on this: http://www.fizik.it/saddles/mtb-saddles/tundra-m1/

It might not look too comfortable and certainly has no padding, but I could have gone longer if necessary (well, my butt could have haha, not so sure about my legs!).  That saddle is the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden and as long as they keep making them, that's my go-to.  I guess my point is that it's really got little to do with the amount of padding.  It's more about getting your body used to it.

Life is good on 2 wheels!

I ordered some Motul 300V 10W40, since I went over 4,000 last weekend :)

I ordered 10W40 Royal Purple and a K&N filter to knock out my first oil change... hit the 2,500 mile mark and think its time to switch to synthetic. I've always loved RP and throw it in my vehicles so I figure the FZ will get it too. If anybody can figure out which RP filter matches our bike that would be greatly appreciated. I cant seem to figure it out on their site.

Yep - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00666FM9G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00
We'll see how much more "bitey" they feel after they break in a bit.

Is it the same pads for all 3 calipers?
Or was that link for just the fronts

I'm not sure how I feel about my latest addition.

I'm giving it a week and if I don't like it by then, off they come.

i generally do. i never wash my riding jacket and riding in the rain is how i get rid of bugs. but it was coming down way to hard. there was enough water on the road it made me skeptical of hydro planing.

Same here...I know to stop and wait out  the heavy standing water rain at a gas station or food place or a bar or under an freeway over pass once with a group of parade bike cops...

Installed a USB connector off the auxiliary port for my old navigation system. The nav got setup with a RAM mount on the left side.
USB on the right and RAM mount on the left side:

Love to ride!

I took a short 70 mile ride today. Decided to take the carriage road to Mt Belknap NH so I could do a little hiking. There was a mile section that was dirt and it was terrible! I won't subject the bike to that again. 3 hairpin turns, steep road, ruts and loose rocks everywhere! It was miserable going up and worse coming down. The bike just wanted to slide. I managed not to drop it though I thought I might. So relieved to get back on pavement. I apologize to my bike.
