Took her to the track again. Still getting over being scared to carry speed through the corners but definitely getting some of the speed back. Not going fast enough to lean more

I honestly don't think I'm pushing the bike hard enough to tell how the tires are doing. I've carried alot more corner speed on the pilot road 5 but been scared to carry the same speed since the lowside. But the q4s haven't slipped or anything yet. So far so good

I was in the same position earlier this year after a lowside at the track on the BT023s. Did a few track days since on the BT023s, and they have held up, but I am quite a bit more cautious and focus on smoothness rather than speed.

I definitely want to take our FZ to the track. I've only been on an R6, so riding an upright bike will be different. But I'm sure it'll still be massive amounts of fun! I just ordered an R6 throttle tube to install once it arrives next week :)

Just finished getting my bike ready for the track. New brake fluid, oil, coolant, and Bridgestone S21s. It'll be my first time on track and I'm super excited

Installed a new chain last night.  Realized that while I'd always meant to remove the sprocket cover and clean out in there but never did.

Under that sprocket cover was a golf ball sized lump of grease, rocks, a bolt, and broken chain o-rings.

I strongly suspect this pile of crap is why I lost so many chain o-rings - that chain only had 20k on it and was always kept at the proper tension, clean and well lubed, but they kept breaking.

0EB4399F-C3EE-448B-957D-D57B49DBDA8B.jpegI installed this Ohlins STX46 shock and took a quick spin, huge difference and I haven't even got it dialed in, 7 clicks out on rebound, 8 mm pre-load, pretty much how it came out of the box from @cornerslider big Thanks to him and Brandon over at Trackside Labs. The difference even without checking SAG#'s (incumbent rain was heading my way, and I didn't have much time) is outrageous. I was taking it easy'ish and I felt like I was going at a snails pace, the bike was laughing at me... No S..t

Installed my Graves exhaust and Yamaha sub cowl. The Cowl was no easy task with this exhaust but it is on. Install ECU tomorrow when it comes and hope everything is good to go.

Probably the most fun I've had on the bike in years. Definitely do it if you get the chance!

synched my throttlebodies yesterday.....HUGE difference ! ...was out a half inch on the MotionPro Manometer.....cured the stumble off idle, and much better low end performance  ...  very noticeable

one thing folks...be SURE to sync the Manometer FIRST......

Finally got the ASV levers on. 😍

Plastidipped the mesh vents red.

And added a red stripe on the tank. I think I will extend this to the tail if it holds up to wear and tear.

Also mounted a USB charger to the handlebar (on clutch side in above pic) and spent about 72 minutes looking for  a ridiculously tiny nut for the bar mount bracket that I dropped inside the bike.  Finally found it.

Got the hordpower airbox on. Now I wait for the ECU to come back. To those that got the airbox out in one piece I commend you 👋. Mine came out in about 12 pieces 😂

You sir are a magician! Can’t wait, ECU should be back on Saturday.
I see you are in GR, did you go down to Hord for a tune? Just curious and I am going to get over to that side of the state next year for some riding and probably a track day at Grattan or Gingerman.

No, he sent me PCV file since I already have the auto tuner... Grattan is a fun track, only a quick 20min drive from my house- every corner is off-camber ... Gingerman- never been there but I do know they got couple long strips for top speed... I usually take advantage of Fox Powersports outta GR for the $100 track days with food, coaches, etc...

$100 dollar day is up my alley. I will have to do this next year. Hopefully I will have another truck so I can throw it in the back. Thanks for the heads up 👍
