Ouch! Since you're posting this I'm guessing you're ok. Sorry to hear this happened to you.
Thanks. All is well, no bodily injury and minor bike injury. Was pretty peeved about it all. Too groggy this morning and grabbed too much front brake. Purely my fault overall.
Sorry about your mishap hobbs, take it easy for a while (zzz)

Haha, good point.

No way Hobbs! Glad you're ok and your ride didn't suffer too much.

Nothin too terrible. Researching it looks like I can buff out most of the little scratches in the carbon fiber

Everything went braap.

Most CF stuff can usually be clear coat and it all look brand new. I never tried it on an exhaust. Not sure how it will cope with the heat...

Hmm.. it's not too bad, so if nothing can be done I'm not that worried. Something to sort out in a few weeks when it's cold.

Everything went braap.

Did a quick editing of a video, riding the FZ-07 showing the Mobius camera waterproof abilities. http://youtu.be/Jz4lnwONrVQ

What do you think of the camera?  Looks like it has great resolution, what is the price range?

Sprayed my trim pieces flat black today, I used the heat resistant engine flat black to match the block.  Not too bad and this stuff dries really quickly, like 5 min or less.

Think I'm gonna spray the passenger peg brackets the same color to blend everything.  What do you guys think?

Gonna quit using my iPhone camera and take pictures, stick with my real camera from now on. The first close up pic is with my phone and gets blurry, the other two are with my inspection camera.

That camera is unbeatable for $70, its called the Mobius camera. 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps. Very good image quality. I and many others have been using it a lot on RC planes and drones.
here is a link to our site where I talk about it.
http://fz07.org/thread/1088/action-cameras?page=1
And here is another link to this camera and some others, with very informative videos to watch.

I am waiting on the delivery of a wider lens for that camera. This video is taken with a narrower lens, "A" lens. The "B" lens is wider, and can be ordered already mounted on the camera, or separately, like I am doing.

Here is a site with ALL you need to know about it.

You are welcome, your bike really shines. For the Mobius, you can find it in many places including Amazon, but the original vendor is still eletoponline365 and can be found on Ebay at
http://stores.ebay.com/eletoponline365/Mobius-ActionCam-/_i.html?_fsub=6055299015
Most of the Mobius found at the $70 price range comes direct from China (China takes 2 to 4 weeks).
Some more expensive Mobius are found in some American retailers and will get to you a lot faster .

Installed the Fabbri Gen-x sport screen and bought a Sony hdr-as20 cam to capture some rides.  Camera sticks on the helmet out of the box, no fuss, good quality video

I think that is the best looking screen I have seen for this bike. Do you have a link?

Painted the tank with Plasti Dip with their yellow Blaze.
I was not very pleased with the entire process.
First it took 10 coats, certainly due to the original darkness (Grey) of the tank.
Second, the spraying nozzles get clogged too easily, even after I turn the cans over and spray to remove any excess of paint left inside the nozzles.
Third, the paint will sometime come out in small chucks and make an uneven surface (look at the close up picture).
Fourth, the color was not as yellow as I had hoped.
And fifth, the final product feels very tacky to the touch.

What do you honestly think? I might peel it out before I screw everything back on.

Well cassecou, since you asked I'd say peel it off. No "ifs, ands or buts"...[em]do it now. [/em] Yamaha has always been known for their high performance AND high style motorcycles right out of the box. What is it anyways with all these folks who insist on messing with the looks of their new bikes? I suspect the guys who plasticize their bikes, for example, do it for the same reason a dog licks his "other" orifice...simply because they[em][strong] can.[/strong][/em]
Again, you asked what we honestly think so I'm honestly telling you that I think it looks like someone went and took a bird-crap yellow highlighter pen to your motorsickle.

Thanks a lot zephyr07, that's the kind of honesty I was expecting.
After much looking at the bike, I came up to the same conclusion, it got to go. My daughter thought like you as well and SHE wants to peel it off.

You're welcome cassecou. Just remember that I seriously was not trying to insult or berate in any way. Your 07 looks much better in her OEM graphite/blue scheme but at least now you know how that rattle can, plasticizing stuff works. I'm thinking of getting some myself to touch-up an old wheelbarrow sitting outside in my backyard.

Don't worry at all , I LOVE constructive criticism, and can not stand the "feel good" criticism, its the only way to get results (hope Facebook will come up with "thumb down very soon").
On the other hand zephyr07, WE have to try what WE feel might work. Often we fail, but sometime we succeed. That's because we can, and believe me, Americans are better at it than anyone else in the world.

What about peeling off the Plasti Dip? you ask me.
Well, that was a breeze. That's the part I loved about it. My FZ-07 is already back to factory colors. It peels right off. A little bit harder to remove where only a few coats were applied, but overall, a child game.
