The duc or the wifey isn't hating'. She rotates them every other week for her commute. Now that I can ride to work, I take whatever bike the wife isn't taking.
That way, I can still have a chance to ride the FZ every once in awhile. :)

Brought it to Laguna Seca to display in our vendor booth, and then wheeled it over to Yamaha to get a snap next to Rossi's bike!

Rode it 370 km / 230 mi to Lysebotn and back. Very impressed how easily it accelerated out of hairpins in 3rd gear from 2200 rpm going up a 12 % incline - it even pulls better than the Virago 1100 :)

Oh, I also cleaned and oiled the chain for the 3rd time in 2000 miles :D

I installed the Woodcraft rearsets, I tried removing the Rhinomoto barends so that I can install Renthal ultra lows and R6 throttle, but the damn barends are stuck, I used a bit of locktite when installed. Does anyone have any ideas how to remove the darned thing?

Which loctite?
blue - your best bet will just be to get the most leverage you can with the allen wrench and hope for the best....
red- you're sol... without destroying the controls there wont be any way off of the bar

I used blue, a co-worker told me that I could use a pipe wrench. Most likely I will end up damaging it.

An electric heat gun should let the LOCTITE let go.
Thanks I will try it.

Use a hairdryer or heat gun first... try the torch after if that doesnt work

Wow, red and hi-viz. How ridiculous. Not even a black option?! Guess I'll have to dust off all my painting equipment.
Original Yamaha comes only in fluo (2016) and red (2015) colors - matching the original color scheme of the bikes. Moto cage option is not available in any other color. At the time I was searching for it it was almost impossible to find this cages alone... I found only this: https://fz07.org/thread/8527/crash-bar-guard-engine-replica and REGRET IT! Please read it ;)

Installed front Proton 500 leds, mt -07 tank pads(already had mt-07 radiator guard. Kept the theme)and a motodymanic led tell light. Also pulled the ecu and shipped it to 2Wheeldyno. Can't wait to get it back.

Cleaned the brake calipers, pistons, springs, etc without rebuilding the calipers. Then deglazed all 3 rotors and installed EBC HH pads! Then I dropped my bike trying to U turn... I can't dab the rear brake like I used to to tuck into the u turn! Too strong now!

And now today I have to flush brake fluid and adjust brake pedal!

his face seems pulled and tense
like he's riding on a motorbike in the strongest winds

Washed it and lubed the chain, then I put her under the cover...The Pitbull stands worked fantastically.

Reinstalled the ECU after getting reflash from 2wheeldynoworks. What a difference it makes. I recommend his service to anyone who is on the fence about it. Took her out on a 180 mile trip today.

I also removed the Yoshimura decibel suppressor and dropped the screw in between the exhaust pipe and carbon fiber shroud.. it now rattles at idle..
