I think you could really benefit from investing in a garage-sized sheetmetal brake- would definitely save you some time, shielding gas and rod. You make some solid looking welds though. Thanks man I appreciate it! Glad you're enjoying the bike, it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. A garage-sized brake would be sweet, but I'm working out of a 10x12 shed currently so space is Über-limited lol. We're in the process of moving though, that might be subject to change *fingers crossed*

After seeing your swing arm, I've heavily contemplated my own attempt at a swinger, but I don't think I could pull it off like yours. HDMT07
Awesome build! Are you going to still run the SC Project or make your own? I'll take it off your hands if you don't need it anymore.

I haven’t made time to work on it because since then we’ve been graced with our first crib midget and moved into a new house. It literally crosses my mind every day to work on it but I guess in due time

But oh yeah I forgot to answer the other part of your question. The plan is to fabricate my own full system out of titanium. Still haven't decided if its going to be a 2-1-2, 2-1, or a 2-2 system though. Decisions decisions lol
FrodoFZ
Long overdue update! I couldn’t for the life of me find any aftermarket motor mounts outside of the whack ones for sale on Alibaba. So wanting something cool and original (and not to mention lighter than OEM), I ordered a .269”x 6”x 10.52” plate of CP2 titanium. I came up with a sketch, took it, the OEM mounts, and the plate of titanium to a local sheet metal shop and had them cut the new mounts out on their water jet, bend them, and throw them in a tumbler for a bit to knock the edges off. One of the mounts had a slight blemish in one in one of the relief cuts from the water jet, but for the time being I’m going to use these and re-mount the motor to see what it looks like. I’m going to hit them with a sander using a few different grits to get rid of the fabrication marks before final install. It’s probably a little overkill using .269 thick Ti, but they are still lighter than the OEM mounts, and are much more appealing. Overall I’m happy with them, hopefully there aren’t any issues mounting the motor
union
Nice Ti mounts. Wonder what they will do to how the bike feels compared to the OEM steel.

I’m not sure, they do feel about 25% lighter than the OEM mounts, but I haven’t put them on a scale yet so that’s probably a generous guess. If these fit without issue I’ll probably sell these and get another set made out of some plate that’s .250” thick or a little less if I can find it. I think that would be a much more accurate representation of the 25% weight reduction. We shall see!

FrodoFZ
Got the motor remounted a few hours ago with the help of my cousin, and was able to install the new titanium mounts. I must say, they fit nicely!! Super stoked on how it looks with the motor in place

Both NN and Hampton are going to s***, but Hampton is worse IMO. I was almost shot in my own driveway and there were quite a few shootings a few streets over and in the easement behind my house. Ain’t no body got time for that! Lol
balkor2
I hear ya brother. Seems the NN # streets is mostly where the shootings are here. Been in the Roads for 22 years now. My area is fairly good. Have really nice neighbors. I grew up around Eastwood dr/Lucas creek rd and went to menchville high. It’s cheaper out here in the sticks, and the only shootings out here are target practice and hunting lol

My eye doc is in Hayes. Sad part of that is that he is the only doc in a 60+ mile radius that has scleral lens specialist. I am near CNU. Ohhh Menchville, near the farm?
