Spatt
Started assembling the motor while on a conference call. Got the rings filed , gapped and deburred. Forgot to order the 1010 sized bearing for the idler gear on the starter side of the motor. I solved never forgetting by ordering a box of them from koyo. 1 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products
Spatt
Putting the bottom ends together on one of the engines, not chancing we start racing and have to wait for surface treatments. One of the little ends was suspect so it’ll go in the pile of last souls. Carrillo lucky had 3 rods in stock still and got them to me so I could finish the assembly this weekend. Mark at R&D Motorsports got my transmissions back I had forgotten I had sent out and needed so it was a happy surprise. He’s been extremely helpful when I first started having issues with the FZ transmission when I had a transmission fail locking me out of 4th gear at the GNF. I’ve never had one of his transmissions fail or lock me out yet. 3 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products
Spatt
Swingarm painted this morning. Spatt
Lighten the load of the motor with a lightened flywheel, sprag and titanium hardware. goal is to have the engine buttoned up and timed so I can toss it in this weekend and start breaking it in. *edit why are there garden shears on my table * 4 1 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products

Spatt
Love when a customer is willing to pay for Titanium really dresses up the bikes vs the stock hardware. Plus all the case bolts are the same size so just order them in bulk and go. Crunch is on for testing at Roebling this coming week. Need to have the bike ready for the dyno tomorrow and get started tuning. Don’t want to mount anything on the dymags so I’ll just use a stock R6 wheel for now. Lots of small odds and ends will keep me busy between now and then. 6 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products

Spatt
So removed all the brackets I had been using on my builds for this one. I spent a bit of time looking for a clean solution without having to add brackets or additional parts. Feel the solution was really simple and honestly looks cleaner than with relocation brackets. The rectifier bracket is a pain with access to the coil on the dyno especial. this is just zip ties collecting they relays and using a single mount for the rectifier on a 12mm nylon spacer with the fuel pump relay tied back to the main harness. Resulted in a simple cleaner solution than adding complication of brackets and easy to reach in to get an inductor in the coil. Spatt
Bike was having some issues on cold start... always fun to tune since you really get a couple shots at adjustment till your temperature rises. Also revisiting the parabolic intakes for the FZ. I couldn’t find the pulls from the first go on the intakes I made 2 years ago. If they make power awesome, if not off to the pile of unused parts. 1 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products
hxman
It appears that the customer will not be able to use the bikes because it looks like the border will stay closed for another month. Shitty for sure!

Joaoduarte
Running without filter makes you gain some more power ? (I mean with the air box cut in one side and with those trumpets?

(I mean with the air box cut in one side and with those trumpets? Depends. I can tell you 100% a filter will cost you hp, any filter. We run filters in practice and qualifying. Pull them for the races. Just try to limit the exposure of the engines really. 1 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products
Spatt
Took the bike down to RRR and let Jackson do 3 laps on it in first practice. Bike was geared too short but I knew that loading it in the trailer. The FZ ran awesome and didn’t see major issues needing addressed. Fueling in the logs looked good and we rolled it back in the trailer and got to work on the bikes we were there to race. Fun weekend ran the spec Dunlops and spec fuel. Oh how I miss club racing with whatever tire I want and whatever fuel I can afford 1 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products

50Joe
Did this bike have TVR decals on it? Mark Morrow was on my hybrid Aprilia/RZ350 that he bought from me and was able to draft past the TVR FZ07 in practice at RRR.

Sucked in the intake screen on an AP intake in second practice that put him out for the weekend. We just took the bike out for a couple shake down laps. Had my ugly rashed white bodywork on it with Jackson shaking it down for me. Mike's bike had a stock motor and some small bolt on bits. Figured the intake screen would be big enough to not go in the motor. I only inquire because when designing my box I made sure if something came loose it could not go into the motor. Expanded metal is a terrible idea for a screen. Way to many stress risers in the manufacturing of it. The design cost Darren James a motor and Mike Martin. The resonance caused both to fail in the same point and suck in a large chunk, maybe 1.5" or so. Spatt
Not not a cut. Just failure from a poor choice of material for the application. Ive been making the covers out of TPU since injection molding a cover isn’t financially viable.
