2023 MT-07 w/ AKRAPOVIC TITANIUM - Baffle out on stock ECU ok?

Hello!  Thanks for your time in advance!  I've purchased a 2023 MT-07 and just installed the Titanium Akrapovic system with Catalytic converter.  I'd like to remove the baffle and hear that beautiful sound but I'm concerned about whether or not I can do so without an ECU tune.  I've called a few performance shops as well as the service center attached to the dealership that I bought the bike from and I'm getting very different answers.  Later this year I plan on sending my ECU to 2WDW and getting it flashed.  Would I be ok to remove the baffle and leave the Cat in on the stock tune?

Your bike's gonna run leaner and if you don't mind that, do it then.   However, I wouldn't add excessive amount of miles in the meantime.  Also if you plan to do intake mods, get that sorted as well before tuning.

I'd like to say thanks for taking the time to help.  I exchanged a couple emails with 2WDW and the gent said that if I wasn't going to go with the Hordpower intake to just yank the snorkel off when I do my ECU flash.  I'm a relatively new rider and don't run the bike super hard.  I really want to hear that sound, I just wouldn't want to harm the bike doing so.  Thanks again Sweetscience.

You don't need a tune.  Just take it out.  Though, it's recommended to get a tune when you do something major with the intake.

I'm not going to pretend I know the "right" answer. I would just send the ECU in to 2WDW now... Even if you don't "need" it, you should. The bike will do EVERYTHING better. Their turn-around times are amazing!!! I've had them do several ECU's for me, and the whole process takes about a week (door-to-door). You've already got at least $8K into your bike. Why not spend another $250 to tie it all together the RIGHT way? Good luck-

Appreciate your response Cornerslider.  I promise you the $ was never the issue.  The 23 MT-07 original purchase price was over 8k USD, never mind the upgrades I've done.  I simply wanted to enjoy the limited hot sunny weather here on Vancouver Island before it runs out in a week or so.  You mentioned the 'Right way'....that's exactly why I've created this post, because I want the best for my machine.

You're not too far from 2WDW.  They're in Kirkland, WA.  I actually showed up in person to get my ECU flashed.  I had to wait maybe 30-45mins since they were using the laptop to tune another bike on the dyno but as soon as that was done, it was like 5-10mins for them to just flash it right there in front of me.
