You should be able to get a ton of information about the various tires folks here use if you do a search of the board.  Your choice may vary depending on the kind of riding you do.

I went with Bridgestone S22s in stock sizes, and they're performing well for me.  I use them for general transportation and spirited riding in the mountain twisties.

I have been running Dunlop Roadsmart 4's on my xsr700 and xsr900 most of the time. These are not hypersport, they have the multi compounding, sticky on outside harder in the centers.

Maybe one tire change a season I'm going to go Dunlop Q3+ if I can find a price....

My 2015 MT07 (FZ07) had Michelin Pilot Road 3s as stock.  It was/is my first motorcycle and I also live in WA, I ride that specific motorcycle year-round.  I took my motorcycle road test in Dec 2014 around 9am the morning, had to ride from the Starlake Federal Way area (when I used to live there) down to Auburn, which basically means every single route is downhill around 29-30 degrees f with frost on the roads.  I Also ride during the start of light snow.  But let's be real, I've never rode my motorcycle when there is actual ice on the roads.

I liked the stock Road 3's so much I switched them out for Michelin Road 6s a few years back.  I now seem to ride the MT07 in specifically rain, cold and freezing temps and never had problem with the Michelin road series tires thus far.

I've tried every tire under the stars (Dunlop Qs, Pirelli Diablo, Bridgestone A41, etc) on various sport / sport touring bikes I've owned over many years. For street use, nothing beats Michelin Road (pretty much any number.. I've had 2's, 3's, 5's) when it comes to longevity while also providing outstanding grip and quick turn in.

I live in Washington and I run the Dunlop Roadsmart 3 and they work well in the rain as well. I took my advanced MSF course in the pouring rain and did threshold braking on the tires. Held up fine. I also had two track days on the tires, plenty of grip and I'm the limiting factor.

My bike came with the Bridgestones, which were fine.  I switched to Road 5’s when they needed replacing and have been very happy with them.  Even though I live in WA I seldom ride in the rain so I cannot comment on that.
