Neptune
Hey there everyone, I recently bought and attempted to install the Andreani Misano fork cartridge kit. I was sent the wrong kit (they sent me an R3 kit) and as such have taken out the inner fork tube internal parts (the part you bash out after you grind off the lip of the bottom of the fork). So the inner tubes are smooth all the way through, no parts inside at all. I decided to return that kit and go with the Ohlins NIX cartridge kit due to immediate availability. The instructions do not call for those parts to be removed. My question is, without those internal parts that are in the stock tube (bushing, oil lock sleeve, spring) will the ohlins kit still work just fine? Thanks! The Ohlins Nix cartridges have a bit too much compression damping with the recommended 5 weight fork oil. I suggest using 2.5 weight fork oil in the compression fork.
