asaulo1
Rode my FZ to work this morning but when I came out to go home, it was over 100 degrees. Anyway, I still opted to take the long way home trying to get accustomed to the bike. So after a few sprinted runs, I hear a slight shrieking sound from the engine. I pulled over in the shade to check it out and LO and behold, it was the radiator fan that was causing the noise. Anyway, I wanted to see what the normal engine temps should be so I can watch out for it.... Guest MXRider
Don't be surprised if you see temps as high as 230* + F in that kind of heat. Especially in traffic.
Global Moderator Guru Posted August 2, 2014 Global Moderator Share Posted August 2, 2014 Shrieking sound as in 'not good' or just the sound of the fan kicking in?

Which I haven't heard before so being that it's a brand new bike kinda freaked me out.... You know how it is? arfz07
My fan kicks on at about 220 and I've seen it at 230 at a stop light when it was about 95 degrees so I would consider that the top of the normal range.
