Ride in 100 degree heat today, what's the normal engine temp

Rode my FZ to work this morning but when I came out to go home, it was over 100 degrees. Anyway, I still opted to take the long way home trying to get accustomed to the bike. So after a few sprinted runs, I hear a slight shrieking sound from the engine. I pulled over in the shade to check it out and LO and behold, it was the radiator fan that was causing the noise. Anyway, I wanted to see what the normal engine temps should be so I can watch out for it.... Cheers...sytyza7a.jpg

Shrieking sound as in 'not good' or just the sound of the fan kicking in?

Just the sound of the fan... Which I haven't heard before so being that it's a brand new bike kinda freaked me out.... You know how it is? New toy paranoia.....

My fan kicks on at about 220 and I've seen it at 230 at a stop light when it was about 95 degrees so I would consider that the top of the normal range.
