More comfortable handlebars (custom?)

Hi,

I'm looking for more comfy handlebars for my FZ-07.
I realize I'm asking the opposite of what most people want.
Since I am so tall, I want bars that are higher, and more back.
It would definitely help me to have at least 1 to 2 inches closer to my helmet from stock.

Looking for ones like on the pic, or similar, which I would tilt a bit towards me.

I'd like to keep the width of current handlebars, or less wide, in order for the brake and other lines and wires to fit.
Not too keen on too wide handlebars anyway. They don't fit well between my gate.

I also would like very affordable bars. Like, I would buy $35 bars if they are available.
I saw what revzilla has to offer for the FZ, but nothing I could use.
Their highest bars, also have a tilt back design, tilting the bars back down.
Not looking for that.

They'd also have to fit the FZ dash cluster.

WHere would I find similar handlebars like the one below? (Don't mind if they are black, chrome, or the 2015 dark blue colored, matching my FZ).

For the moment looking at the following:
bikemaster-nighthawk-bars-black.jpg

Width: 28"

Rise: 7"

Pullback: 9.2"

Clamp Area: 4.8"

Might be a tad too high, still looking.
Advice is appreciated!

here's another one i'm considering, though it says not compatible with FZ-07.
It might be though...

Width 71cm (can be cut smaller)
center width 16cm (6.3"; hope that's enough for the FZ dash?)
Rise 11cm (4.3").[url=http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-8-Motorcycle-Euro-Bars-Handlebars-For-Harley-Honda-Suzuki-Yamaha-Triumph-BMW/291977163319][/url]

Nearly any 7/8" bar will be compatible with the FZ. Just don't get it so high that you will need to extend your cables/wiring looms. That would be my only concern. I am not sure what tolerances those things have.

I'm thinking, if the bar is 2" closer to my helmet, I could try to compensate by having the throttle and brake wires closer to the center, by sawing/grinding off the bars at the ends?

Look at the renthal street bars?
High bend will give you a slightly taller feel with not much more width than stock

Any 7/8" bar will fit the stock bar clamps
There arent much for riser options for our bikes
unless you want to lengthen all of the cotrolsand wiring [span]    [/span][span]    [/span][span]    [/span]

I would also hesitate to cut too much off the ends of your handlebar. Having too narrow of a bar will give awkward control (I just crashed a bicycle at 10mph because the handlebar was too narrow and very finicky at speed). I wouldn't go more than an 3/4" narrower on each side compared to stock. If you have to extend wiring/controls I'd extend wiring/controls.

Wish we could help more but it is rare that someone wants to make the FZ more upright around here lol. The stock bar already had me sitting almost straight up & down and I'm 6'2".

You don't want any sharp bends in the cables. Without lengthening them, I'd say you reliably have about an inch to play with, maybe two, that's pushing it.

Getting new cables made isn't a terrible ordeal. You can diy with the cable and connectors, or pay a place that makes custom cables. Same thing for electrical wiring. You can splice in an extension, but it should be soldered (properly) and heat shrinked if you want to maintain the integrity of the system.

Everything went braap.

Those pipes..... Lmao ???

I bet that bike can cross the Mississippi River without stalling.

If god created us in his image, does that mean god is an egomaniac as well?
