martin5
Hello everyone, I bought my FZ-07 a couple weeks ago. I owned a Bolt C-Spec and was never all that happy with it. I was expecting to buy an FZ-09 but the 07 won me over after a short ride. I can honestly say I'm in love with this bike!! This is only my third motorcycle but I have a feeling I'll be keeping this one for a long time.
Global Moderator Guru Posted June 4, 2017 Global Moderator Share Posted June 4, 2017 Welcome, great to have you on board. Thanks for joining. Excellent choice, the FZ07 is a great bike. What didn't you like about the Bolt?
Duke
Yes, please elaborate what you didn't enjoy about the Bolt. I've been considering getting it as a second bike for the easy riding moods. I've only got one demo day ride with it so far. So an owner's perspective is much appreciated! You do you and I'll do me.
martin5
For me it was just a matter of ergonomics. The seat on the C-spec is good for riding about 30 minutes at a time. I went for style over substance in this case. The mid controls are also pretty cramped for my 6'1" height, I admit I have long legs. Also it has a tiny fuel tank that you have to fill constantly. I'm sure if you got a regular bolt or the R-Spec even the new one with the number plate on the side (can't remember the name) you would probably be happy with it. But if a C-spec is in your future don't expect to ride very far without a ton of breaks.
