Yeah, read Bob online many moons ago. Thought it was relevant until I read 427rat and found his data more real.

Brought up a few points about Bob and his credibility which made sense to me. But that was so long ago I forget it all.

On the forums/ comments there are lots of debates about that.

General rule of thumb for oil change,

Is the 33-33 rule.

Change your oil every 3333 miles or 5 kms on the odometer.

Easy way to remember.

3333, 6666, 9999 miles or every 5000-10000 kms increments on your odometer.

Reviving this due to some information that I have come across recently.

Project Farm YouTube channel did some interesting valid testing of oils where he shows how, tests and results. Worth  checking out fyi.

His top two were Amsoil and Pennzoil synthetics. He compares about a dozen oils. While not specifically motorcycle oils, apparently some use automotive oils? ;)

Interesting and useful knowledge beyond marketing hype.

Fyi.

His channel has many other comparisons and tests of value from glues to rust penetrants that you may find informative.

I've watched many of his comparative videos. He uses good testing procedures for unbiased results.  I'm a fan. 👍

Pretty cool video. Just as fate would have it I have 3 quarts of Amsoil waiting for the Spring oil change 👍🏻
