kdubb223
Anyone here able to explain the new suspensions adjustments and is there a need to adjust for two-up and solo? Thanks!
pattonme
yes and have you read your owners manual at least?
kdubb223
yeah the owner's manual basically says turn this direction for this adjustment (+ or -). I was more interested in what settings people are running given their height/weight or preferred settings.
pattonme
Measure sag, adjust spring preload till you're in the ballpark. If you're outside the standard rider weight range there's not much you can do except replace the spring but you're much better off getting a $500 aftermarket shock which actually works properly. There's but one adjustment on the OE shock so I'm not sure what's so complicated. Find the rebound setting that comes up fast but doesn't 'hop'. Adjust from there to give you best tracking over surface irregularities and stability into and out of curves.
Premium Member motomeek Posted June 11, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted June 11, 2018 I'm not suspension genius. But probably telling us your weight would be helpful. Maybe someone in your range would be able to tell you. Instagram: @meekmade | You don't need to flat foot a bike to ride it.
