Global Moderator sorkyah Posted October 4, 2018 Global Moderator Share Posted October 4, 2018 I've run into an issue and can't seem to figure out wtf I did, or the weather caused it and I can't trace it... To start with a parts list, I have a set of turn signals from an '18 R1 heat shrinked(glue based) and soldered to the stock front turn signal connector. I have a solid state LED flasher relay, and a Motodynamic Rear tail. I turn the left signal on, flasher doesn't engage. right signal on, flasher engages briefly. But both times the lights front and rear come on solid. Also the hIgh beam indicator lamp works intermittently. I'll try to get a video up here in a bit. ATGATT... ATTATT, two acronyms I live by. Global Moderator sorkyah Posted October 4, 2018 Author Global Moderator Share Posted October 4, 2018 Started doing a flicker instead of just being solid Not sure what all is going on but it's weird af ATGATT... Beemer
A wire with the insulation rubbed off can cause that. Beemer

I'm sure you checked conections as well, what about fuses? Are they all seated well? (ya never know) Fuse box connections? Beemer

Maybe I'll see see if any of the fz07r guys have one laying around ATGATT... ATTATT, two acronyms I live by.
elmo
Not sure the control pod is the issue if it work before making changes. New parts - R1 signals 3-wire, Motodynamic Rear taillight, and Led flasher relay. Rear signals stock or upgraded? I know you triple checked, but my guess is wiring or new flasher relay issue. mick97702
Try this. Remove both the pods from the mount and leave them plugged in. Make sure the mounting stud is not touching metal. Try them then. I installed my Proton 500s on the sides of my aluminum wind screen and they did the same thing yours are doing. For some reason the mounting stud grounds out the internal circuit in my pods. I ended up isolating the shaft of the stud with heat shrink where it penetrated the aluminum and used a nylon washer between the aluminum and the mounting nut. Problem solved. Hope that helps. I suppose I should state that the relay has been in for almost 3 years, the signals the past year and a half. About 2 weeks ago, I had an issue with the clutch switch wire breaking So I had to remove the pod to solder it back together When I put it back on it worked fine, though the next day it started flickering like this. I chalked it up to the monsoon rains I had to ride in that day. ATGATT... ATTATT, two acronyms I live by.
