Are you a stunt guy or a guy just wanting to learn a trick or two?

Just wanna learn a trick or two to do on occasion.  I'm mostly a commuter and weekend rider.

Why don't you go grab a load of front brake at whatever speed your comfortable with and let us know? Someone has to go first!!👍

thGDGRPC2D.jpg It made Capt. Kirk bold, now you can boldly go also.

No, seriously, it's not worth it. You could get hurt and destroy your bike. Best to practice stunts off road in the grass or dirt with a dirt bike.

Well yeah but I want to do these stoppies while riding my mt07, so only one way to do that!  Plus I don't have a dirt bike or anywhere to ride one in NYC.  Gonna boldly go where... Some squids have gone before, but more carefully

@captainkool4 oooh, yeah I can tell we think a like. I got a hooligan bike so hi jinx are on the table at the right time and place. I ended up doing some damage to myself and the bike, time and money later and we are back on track.

My point is though you got a pretty bike in an awesome color, armor her and yourself up if you wanna try your hand at some tricks. I would recommend minimum case savers, and some additional sliders to taste. Then make sure you got armor on your limbs, knees and elbows.

If you don't already have some experience I suggest you take it easy at first, get the baby steps down pat solid before you go running.

You're right, I can't find any dirt track to ride on there (other than in Long Island) but I didn't see that they rent bikes and no stunt riding schools in NYC were to be found either. Your life and bike,  be safe and have fun! Get some video of your progress if you can, that would make for some interesting video.

Best of luck and be safe.  I don't have the ABS version, but I have locked the front and slid a handful of times practicing emergency braking.  You're gonna have to do a bit of weight shifting to get that rear off of the ground, which will likely get beyond neutral balance rather quickly.  Be careful and take @Benh972 advise on the protection. 👍

You can always put a metal rod thru the front wheel when in motion... looked safe on Sat morning cartoons...
