BFCphoto
recently I'm having trouble getting into 3rd gear. the clutch is fully engaged and I have to stomp down hard in order for it to go into gear. Any thoughts or suggestions ? the rest of the gears no problem... just 3rd.
NRWhiteKnight
What year is you bike? Could be the cable needs adjustment or replaced? Do you have aftermarket rearsets? If so is the shift rod adjusted correctly? 2018 MT-07 - Mods: Shorty Levers, Radiator Guard, Puig Sport Windscreen,Air box Snorkel Removed. Premium Member Evill_Ed Posted April 4, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted April 4, 2019 I had a similar issue at the track shifting into 3rd. It turned out that my race boot would hold tension on the shifter after I would shift into second (even though I had tilted my foot down) and the shifter didn't release to the detent. When I tried to shift into 3rd it wouldn't go. A quick adjustment of the shifter rod fixed it.
