Gofast Innovations
Greetings all, My son and I are planning a trip from Canada to the east coast of the U.S. this summer. I'm thinking of going to a 17 tooth front sprocket to reduce revs. Good Idea?

Look at an online sprocket calculator where you can input different sprockets to see the effect on rpm’s and make an informed decision. I hope the borders open up so you can do your trip
Premium Member bornagainbiker Posted April 7, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted April 7, 2020 Here is a good gearing calculator: Gearing Commander ⚙ With a 17 tooth front sprocket it looks like your bike would be turning about 3950 rpm at 100 km/hr. The 07 has the torque to carry this kind of gearing and it would give you more relaxed rpm at highway speeds. Hope this helps.
