RebelRider
... Or that's what my girl calls me, anyway. My parents named me Joe, and gave me no middle name, cause they wanted to do their best to make me completely uninteresting so I would focus on school rather than have friends. I live in South Florida, and always hated traffic. Random stop and go traffic, people going 40 on the highway cause there was one raindrop 20 minutes ago, and snowbirds from Quebec (Ontario isn't as bad) I decided that I didn't wanna have an aneurysm as a 20 year old while yelling "why am I stopping!" like some 80 year old dementia patient at the bottom of the overpass that all the other senile fools not only mistook for a hill, but for the hill they should die on, so I should get a bike and and split these little... Trying to keep it pg here... Although, tbh, I've wanted a motorcycle for as long as I can remember, I was obsessed with sport bikes as a kid. I took a clothes pin and playing card to my bicycle, and then duct taped the tube from the paper towels to the side! There was a kid in high school with one, soooooo coooool. I could never talk to him, too scared of rejection, and I'm not into dudes that's just how cool it was that he had one. I'm Puerto Rican, and like most Latinos, nobody tells us that we're legally adults at 18, so I was 26 before I had a brain blast and realized that if I wanted a motorcycle, I could just get one. I'm surprised I didn't have that aneurysm first... I wonder if I'd still have my hair if I could have lowered my stress sooner... I've got an fz6r, but I'll prolly upgrade soon, so I figured I'd join here now. I've been on 600cc.org for a while.
Premium Member DewMan Posted May 15, 2020 Premium Member Share Posted May 15, 2020 Welcome to the MT/FZ-07 forum. I'm going to assume you're considering getting an MT-07 when you upgrade from the FZ6r? I hope you know that lane splitting in any form is illegal in Florida? Though I'm not a fan of lane-splitting in moving traffic, I would love to be able to cut to the front of the line at the traffic light. DewMan Just shut up and ride. "> I don't often split a moving lane, my small size rarely necessitates it, but I'll filter traffic jams and red lights, which as you say is illegal. I also know that no one's going 65 on the I, so illegal is a word that I feel needs a little more nuance than to be taken at face value. Maybe one day I'll meet a cop that's a problem child, but so far, no problems.
Beemer
Welcome and congrats on that MT-07 in your head, lol! When you get one put up some pics and say a few words about it. Where are you in south Florida, close to Miami? Beemer

My girl lives in West Palm so during the covid shet I'm staying with her since my job is still going fine. I'll prolly upgrade sometime this year, although the smaller tank has me apprehensive seeing as I do 90 mi/day of commuting for work alone. I've always wondered if they sold bigger tanks that take up that fairing space...
Beemer
Nice place I hear. No bigger tanks for this bike I'm afraid. many people have bought fuel bottles with nice systems to hang them on the side of their bike but that's about it unless I'm forgetting or not aware of something else that's been previously mentioned.
