phanomenal07
There is anything wrong with my clutch but I was just curious. If your clutch goes bad do you just buy any random set of plates and throw them in or is it always bike specific? Is it like an oil filter where as long as it fit itll work type thing? Also is it an upgradable item? Like outside of buying a slipper clutch are there like better clutch plates like there are better levers and such. If so are there any company that you recomend buying from? Thanks for indulging.
geophb
Bike specific. I suppose some plates may work in other models though.
mossrider
They can be bike specific, to some degree. My old RD350's used the same plates as the old R6's did. Manufacture's tend to use them across similar performance applications altho some times in different 'stacks', the number of alternated fiber and steel discs. Generally speaking stick to OEM for trouble free long life clutches. There are aftermarket options out of materials such as Kevlar and aluminum but they tend to be less flexible in every day use. I've tried them all and continue to use stock clutches in all my bikes including my race machines. 3
Spatt
Older R1 plates are the same as the FZ. You can cross reference on most parts sights. 1 Get your MT07 & FZ07 racing parts at https://www.robemengineering.com/fz-07-products
