Gofast Innovations
I bought the proper Yamaha R6 throttle tube for my 2018 MT07 and it doesn't seem to fit. It's too large for the cover and it binds. Has anyone else with a 2018 had a problem?
Global Moderator mjh937 Posted July 29, 2020 Global Moderator Share Posted July 29, 2020 @Gofast Innovations, You need to adjust the cable. It seems too large until you make some slack for it, then if fits fine.
Gofast Innovations
Both cables? at the injectors or the handlebars?
Global Moderator mjh937 Posted July 29, 2020 Global Moderator Share Posted July 29, 2020 I just adjusted at the handlebars. It took me a while to figure out as I was initially accidentally adjusting it the wrong way. Think of it as needing to shorten the cable housing, thereby having more of the inside wire exposed and you will turn the adjuster the right way.
RobZilla
It will feel like it doesn’t fit, but the cables just need adjusting.
Jerzee
Worked fine after cables loosened... on my 2018.
00RAH
R6 throttle tube is a troll. Its not made for the mt07.
Devilman
I had to adjust the cable at the throttle body to give more slack. The upper adjustment is for fine tuning and the adjustment at the throttle body is for bigger adjustments. Did that and no issues. Love the R6 throttle tube.
