If you are thinking about switching from a smaller bike and moving up, i would say go for it especially if you do a lot of freeway riding.

I'm just sitting here laughing because 100% I know that alley and fence at the end. Small world lol. 

I have a '19 mt-07 with a Yosh exhaust and tune. Wow, it sounds insanely good. Also did the R6 throttle tube mod.  You'll love the bike for sure. 

Oh, and this bike's torque sweet spot is 5-7000 RPM, so hang there and you can go to warp speed with the flick of a wrist

Welcome to whole silly world of torque friend! The FZ07 is riot. Funny coincidence you coming of a ninja 300 to an FZ07. I still ride and enjoy mine but i recently picked up a 2007 ninja 250 to play with lol!

One thing the 300 had over the fz07 is how smooth the city riding was. But when you get the opportunity to open up the fz07 you tend to forget about all that smooth city riding!

2WDW can make an FZ07 plenty smooth.  Funny thing is that the more I ride this bike the better I like it.
