goshe22
Hey folks, any thoughts on keeping the wheel sensor rotors on the wheels when taking them in for a tire change? I'm planning on keeping the brake discs and sprocket on there, but seems like there's a lot of warnings to keep the sensor rotors away from any magnets/drops/shocks (pretty much what I think of when I think tire shop) so the ABS doesn't get confused. Any experiences from other folks with ABS model bikes? Thanks in advance
Premium Member blackout Posted March 19, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted March 19, 2021 No personal experience, but I would leave it on since it requires unbolting and most likely is loc-tited from the factory. The sprocket on the other hand pulls off with no tools along with the cush drive rubber pieces. 1 Craig Mapstone Upstate New York
Premium Member DewMan Posted March 20, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted March 20, 2021 I'd vote that you leave them on as well. they're part of the spinning mass that I feel needs to be included for wheel balancing purposed. 1 DewMan Just shut up and ride. LamHa
My vote is to also keep the rotor on. I think the magnets/drops/shocks is in regard to the sensor itself and not the rotor.
