Grant31781
I bought the cheapest 1/4 drive 10mm socket on Amazon and ground it down on my bench grinder until it would fit down in the hole. Now no more mirrors flopping in the wind. Why did they make these mirrors like this? I could not find a socket that would fit in the hole.
Triple Jim
I've just been adjusting the jam nut at the mirror base, and then tightening the mirror by moving it stalk like a wrench, but your thin socket may be a better way.
stickshift
I've always tightened them using a spanner on the base hex fitting...
wrxer
He is saying the mirror is loose to the base & not staying put.
