Transponder's

I have a question to those who bought a transponder for racing/trackdays, the CMRA allows for AMB Tranx 260, mylaps X2, and mylaps TR2. These transponder can come at different price points  depending on what length of time subscription you choose, or you can get a lifetime no subscription but pay a higher price just once. The tradeoff is that the Lifetime version does not provide access to the Speedhive app. where you can get your lap times, fastest lap all that stuff.  The TR2 transponder with 1 year sub is $169. 2 year $239. 5 year $419. and the No subscription TR2Go is $599. 

Which one should I get? Is the (speedhive app) something you couldn't live without? or is it easier to do the 1 and done, no subscription for $599?

TR2 , 2 years. You can alsomaccess the Speedhive website through a browser. Although the details of the info available will depend on CMRA, usually you can get at least your lap times and finishing position.
