Posted June 19, 20214 yr Howdy, The Pro Grip 714 are closed end. Can I just off the end? Thanks, Jeff
June 19, 20214 yr go for it, but be careful on the throttle side, if they stick you are not going to enjoy the situation
June 19, 20214 yr Use an Exacto type knife with a new blade, but be careful and do not cut toward your hand or fingers. Cut the throttle to the throttle ID, not the handlebar ID.
June 20, 20214 yr Author Thanks for the replies. I'll be installing them in a few days. I'll pay close attention to the throttle side.
June 25, 20214 yr Author So I tried something different to reduce handlebar vibration. I bought these ROCKBROS gloves on Amazon for under $30. Just got back from a one hour ride and they did seem to help. I wouldn't recommend these for aggresive riding because of the gel pads on the palms, but for cruising around they are fine.
June 25, 20214 yr Community Expert Reduce vibration? Having done the first 35 years of my riding exclusively on a 1972 Kawasaki H2, I didn't think an MT-07 had any handlebar vibration.
June 26, 20214 yr Author Haha! Yeah, there isn't much vibration at all, but I figure all the help I can get is good 😄
