That looks an awful lot like mine.    Yes, have fun and don't take your eyes off what's going on in front of and around you!  Assume other drivers NEVER see you.

Hey guys, just picked up my first ever bike last Saturday. Needless to say….I’m in love with riding and in love with the bike. So many plans for this girl!

I gotta admit I'm a bit jealous. Until your exact color combo came out, I thought my 16 FZ-07, with my added black sidecovers, was the best looking of all the stock ones made. Then they came out with your bike which has slightly different bodywork than my 16. If they were the same I would have switched to the blurple body panels in a heartbeat. Your bike looks great!!!

BTW, "blurple" is the name given to the funky blue/purple paint in FZ/MT-07 land.

Enjoy, be safe, and take a rider safety course!

Thanks man. I definitely love the look of your bike. I honestly like how the FZ body panels come down under the seat more.

The color is different for sure. Will be interesting to see how good of a match I can get painting parts or helmets etc.

I actually already did the MSF course at HD. Learned a ton there. Looking forward to doing more advanced courses and learning more in the future!

My daughter took the course.  Shortly after that we were riding together with her in front.  There was a 55 mph right sweeper that was fairly sharp, and a dump truck was coming the other way, entering the turn just at the wrong time.  I watched her stay right in her lane as if the truck wasn't there.  I mentioned it later and told her what a great job she did, and she said "I just looked where I wanted to go."

The silver/ blue combination is what I have been looking at in the 2016 MT-03 which one day I may have to move down to. Definitely the best after blurple imho.  I don't know why blurple stopped. BTW, be careful applying paint to helmets as it can affect integrity. Great looking bike, 850MT07.

Thanks man.

How does paint affect the helmet integrity? Genuine question cause I’m new to all of this.

Some paints are solvent based and can attack/partially dissolve the resins that make up the outer shell off the helmet. You're safe using latex paints, but you'll have to do homework for other things.

But yeah, congrats on the new bike! That's a fine looking machine for sure👍👍

Thanks for the info! I’ll have to look into that some more. Might just end up giving my current one to my wife if it fits and get a new one to match the bike.

You could email the helmet manufacturer and ask what paint to use.  Like most equipment, few people know more than the company that is making the product.
