Premium Member fzar Posted February 17, 2022 Premium Member Share Posted February 17, 2022 Anyone got pointers or idea's on how to clean up the "never to be used again" wiring for a R conversion. I talking turn signals F/R, headlight switches and connecters, brake light etc. The switches on the clutch side seem to be tied to the clutch engaged, bike in gear override for the ignition. Iv'e done the ignition bypass and side stand bypass, I'm trying to make the wiring mess a more useable less constrictive area to get the regulator and ecu to fit under the Race bodywork. All help is welcomed, and I need it at this point. Thanks, Dave.
stickshift
I modified a stock wiring harness into a full race harness (including total loss charging) many years ago. The best way is to lay out the removed harness, fully unwrap it and completely remove any wires (from plugs) that aren't needed. A wiring diagram (workshop manual) is a necessary reference. Then wrap it all up in high quality tape. 2
