jb.junior Posted March 9, 2022 Share Posted March 9, 2022 Hi. I bought this engine as a stopgap, while I waited on my superbike build to be completed. I received it in questionable condition, with lots of missing parts and loose bolts, with a questionable history, and did my best to get it running. Spent lots of time and money but, ultimately, could not get it right. I tested the bike on the track "full go" last weekend, and couldn't finish the day as it overheated and leaked oil. (I've had to withdraw from the MotoAmerica race at Daytona because of this... :/) Again it runs, but overheats and leaks oil. Happy to give more detail on the repair history to an interested party, but various gaskets were replaced, engine cover replaced (pics show old cover), thermostat replaced, valves checked, timing checked, and quite a bit of other stuff and work. I've sourced a new SB engine that I'm going to use as my second engine instead spending more time and money trying to get this stock engine sorted. $800, OBO. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
