Subito
I won’t have my MT-07 until November, so in the meantime I hope you folks won’t mind me asking some noobie questions that are covered in the owner’s manual. For the factory recommended break-in process, as I understand it the rule is don’t exceed 5000 rpm for the first 600 miles, and then don’t exceed 6000 rpm for the next 1,000 miles. So the complete break-in process lasts for a total of 1,600 miles. Is that correct?

Subito
Ah, that makes more sense, thanks much! Is there anywhere I can download a copy of the manual now, so I can get up to speed on the MT-07’s features before I take delivery of the bike in November?

Deposit in March. Was told June, then July, then September 15th. Still waiting... The crazy thing is that the Yamaha Dealer Inventory (which I have been watching) had dealers whom has received stock (MT-07's) multiple times. In the VA region, Redline Powersports has received four times (all colors) since February. While at the Dealership I have my deposit has received one Team Blue MT-07, one Cyan Storm MT-09 and one Raven Black MT-10 (all pre-purchased). But yet they have received many can-am, Kawa dirt bikes, honda four wheelers, not sure what side-by-sides they have ... Makes little sense to me. Subito
I suspect Yamaha allocates bikes to each dealer based on their previous sales volume of Yamaha bikes, perhaps your dealer doesn’t typically sell many Yamahas vs the other marques/models you mentioned? njdevils1990
I essentially walked in and got this one. Funny enough like 4 people were in line for it but they all backed down due to it being delayed since June. It was unpacked on the 15th of this month and I put money down and took it home on the 17th. 2003 Buell XB9R (2011-2011) Crashed 2009 Buell 1125CR (2011-2013) Sold 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 (2014-?) njdevils1990
Had the 600 mile service performed today at 718 miles and also had the Givi top case rack installed since I didn’t feel like cutting the hole in the bottom plastic for the rack support brackets. With that the total was just under $450. Would have been about $330 for just the 600 mile service. Here’s photos of the rack and my MT-07 with a 58L top case on. 1 2003 Buell XB9R (2011-2011) Crashed 2009 Buell 1125CR (2011-2013) Sold 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 (2014-?) njdevils1990
Been a little while but I’m still here with my MT-07! I just today did the 16,000 mile oil change. I ordered plugs yesterday and will do them and clean the air filter once they arrive. I also have a new addition, on 5 April I bought a ‘23 FJR1300ES. I’ve put 4,500 miles on it in the past 2 months and change. The two complement each other very well. I really like having two bikes!! Plus, when I’m working on one, I can ride the other!! 2 2003 Buell XB9R (2011-2011) Crashed 2009 Buell 1125CR (2011-2013) Sold 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 (2014-?)
