Looking for a Robem shock linkage for an FZ07, original style for use with clevis style shock.

Thanks

Will Robem not make you one, anymore?

Nope, only making the new style. I found a workaround that will allow me to use my K-Tack Razor RR.

I'll post it up soon.

Roaring Toyz still offers this, which would fit.  Different geometry than the Robem, but it's basically what I use and was good enough for Kaleb Dekeyrel to win Twins Cup a few years ago.  Just thought I'd post.

You might want to check this out. I have one on my FZ-07, and it's great. It says it works for the R7, but have no idea on a clevis-style shock. It might be worth contacting them. The workmanship on this link is outstanding.

I would highly recommend getting it with the bearings installed. The $250 is in Aussie dollars which works out to $166 US, so the hit isn't too bad.

Okay, so I figured out how to keep my Razor RR Shock and use it with the new style Robem linkage. The two challenges were the overall length of the  Razor RR and the Clevis end.

The minimum center to center length of the Razor RR is 316-mm, the Robem link is designed for a shock that is 298-300-mm center to center. I worked with K-Tech distributor Orient Express, they were able to help me find a rod end fitting (235-610-041) that worked with my shock. the rod end fitting reduced overall length to 300-mm. The bushing on the rod end was 40-mm wide, the Robem link is 30-mm wide so the end would need to be modified.

I had a few conversations with Matt at Robem, Matt was very helpful and offered a lot of good information.  Matt told me that I  could use a lighter spring, 100-Nm vs the 140-Nm I had been running.

While I was at it, I inspected, cleaned and lubricated all the rear suspension components. Note the polished spots on the Akra-Ti from the 180/60 tire. Even with approximately 3/8-in clearance, it still touches at times, I'm guessing from tire growth at high speed.

All installed the action feels very smooth. The 100-Nm spring installed with 10-mm pre-load give me 10-mm free sag and 30-mm total sag, essentially what I would have tried to dial it in at on the first shot.

I added the Robem Adjustable triple Clamps with 26-mm offset bushings.

I also changed from Ohlins NIX22 cartridges to K-Tech IDS-22 Cartridges (Thanks @cosp600rr) I wanted to try the K-Tech cartridges to see if the valving characteristics are better match to the shock.

I am running the new Dunlop Q5 this season.

This is what it looks like when you leave a 14-mm 6 point socket under one.

I can't wait to get to the track this Friday for my first event of 2023 to start dialing it in.

Thanks JB. The Robem Triple Clamps and rear linkage completely transformed my bike. I always thought it handled really well, and wondered how much better it could get.  I immediately noticed the increased stability while leaned over and trail braking. Feels like I’m riding in a groove.
I’m lovin’ it.
