Tuker Leishman
Will a 2023 R7 motor fit and run in a 2016 FZ07? I hear the flywheels are different (they have different part numbers) but some say you don’t need to swap them. I also have heard mixed things about the ECUs being different. M. Hausknecht
The difference in the ECUs doesn't matter. The difference in flywheels does. You'll want to use your '16 flywheel components, which will just bolt in.
Claude
Just curious but is there any difference in HP and torque numbers between R7 and 2015-2017 FZ07?

No more than a smidgen less with the R7 version, based on sightly different ecu mapping. If both motors are flashed, power should be the same because all the hard parts are the same.
