mcm
Just stopping by. Was reading up on this bike and thought this would be the best place to start.Am 53, have had bikes forever. Have not checked this one out in person yet.The big question for me? Am 6' 3" 220. Is this bike too small for me?I know I need to find out in person, have just been looking around on line for opinions 1st.This seems like a perfect bike for my intended use, just not sure I would fit? Thanks for having me!Am either MCM or Oldguy on bike related forums.
Premium Member hobbs Posted February 27, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted February 27, 2015 A lot of members are your size or larger and they seem to be enjoying the bike just as well. Some have increased the spring rate of the stock suspension in accordance with their weight. Welcome to the forums.. I'm sure you'll get the answers you seek soon enough. Everything went braap. mcm
Thanks! I always do / get susp work done. So that's not an issue. Will see if I can get a test ride soon. Its the only real way. I saw a photo of a guy who looked like a sasquatch on this bike and really wasn't sure if he was just a giant? Or this bike is best for folks other than my self. I think he was in a silver riding suit. It looked pretty odd............

mcm
The write up said he was "6'4 but large framed" So, he could be 300+ lbs. No idea.
Global Moderator Guru Posted February 27, 2015 Global Moderator Share Posted February 27, 2015 Hey new guy, welcome. Glad you joined or group. I am pretty sure you would fit but it is probably best just to check one out for size at the dealer. You will know instantly if it's for you or not. The engine has more then enough grunt to haul you along. Confusing first post though, you say you are not a member but you are because you joined, your alias is sometimes Oldguy, but you're not... mcm
Thanks! I live in So Cal in a smaller beach community. Had mainly large 2 and 4 stroke dirt bikes through the yrs. Then dual sport 400's 500's 650's. (40-50 bikes all together 1966-2015) Then went backwards. Restored and currently ride the three older bikes below. Looking for a bike for longer trips. (A long trip for me is a couple hrs these days) Am thinking the 07 might be perfect. If I fit...
Premium Member motomeek Posted February 27, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted February 27, 2015 Beautiful bikes! Welcome from SoCal as well!! Instagram: @meekmade | You don't need to flat foot a bike to ride it.
Premium Member hippiebikerchick Posted February 27, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted February 27, 2015 Welcome mcm! Great job on the restorations! Those bikes look small; if you ride them ok the 07 should be great for you. Illegitimi non carborundum
mcm
Thanks, I am not too worried about the seat height, more so the controls. Bars/pegs. The blue bike seat height is the shortest at 32" the red 500 is 34". So they are not really tall bikes.
pantheraleo
OP, I am 6'2" and 205-210. It feels great under me. I love the bike. IMHO, you should be just fine. O judgment! Thou art fled to brutish beasts, And men have lost their reason. Bear with me. My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar, And I must pause...till it come back to me.
