Maybe just find some bolts of the same thread pitch and put em in there? or find something you can bolt onto the bars right there, a phone/gps holder perhaps? I find it startling that there is no US market for these kinds of higher quality finish pieces that is readily available in the UK. I guess there isn't much or any profit in it.
