fastfredyb
So I've noticed some serious grinding noise coming from the front and bottom of the bike. It's getting worrysome because I have about 19k miles on the bike and I'm not even close on paying it off. Happens about 1000 miles after I service the bike. Always happens when I start to accelerate and change gears. I change the oil regularly and it's full synthetic.... Well, during commute home yesterday, I had an aaa-haaa moment. How about I stop being a dumbass and oil the chain every couple weeks. I commute about 550 miles a week so it would help. The chain is within specs but after I oiled it up, it was quiet, just like when I send it in for service. Dumbass move, but I could breathe a little easier now that I know it's not a big deal. Lube and lube................

Pull the front sprocket cover off (remove shift linkage) get a grunge brush http://www.revzilla.com/product/the-grunge-brush Good chain lube and it takes away most of the chain noise http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/motul-racing-chain-lube I lube up twice a week and I put it on my chain about as much when its still warm. 2015 FZ-07 2003 2014 GSXR 1000
