How much was the m4? I remember seeing it somewhere but don't remember the price. I seen a guy put the m4 on his fz6r and it sounded amazing. I'd love to get it for the 07.

I think that is the cheapest you can buy it

I believe so. I forgot about not being able to use slip-ons unless you planned on cutting. I may do it though. I love the way the m4 sounds.

I could not find my ForSale post, so I am going to put some updates in here.

I sent kwaipuak a PM. Turns out the Extended Warranty is transferable. That's pretty cool.

I went to my hip specialist recently to find out about some nagging issues I have had since my 2 hip replacement surgeries. The bigger issue, is depending on how I position my leg, I trap a nerve.
This is what I was feeling while riding the FZ-07. Just kind of stupid unlucky in the seat and rearset positions. I have a follow up appointment with a nerve specialist to try and get this resolved.

The second issue I had was a shooting pain in my thighs. It is actually normal. It is called End of Stem Pain. Basically what is occuring is that the end of the metal insert of the leg part of my hip replacement, is banging the inside of the leg bone. This is due to the bones having some flexibility, but the metal insert not flexing. The body will eventually compensate by growing more bone and this will go away. Unfortunately that can take 1-2 years. I am already at the 1 year mark on my left leg. My back is OK, but just weak.

I've kicked up my ab work to strengthen my core, switched to a Glutten free diet and am weight lifting again. 6lbs down in 2 weeks and I am motivated now that I got answers.

Sooooooooo

The good news is, I can actually ride. After selling both my FZ-07 and my Ninja 300 I had a really weird thing happen. The person I sold my last Buell to, decided he wanted to upgrade and asked if I wanted to buy it back. He is well aware of my situation and why I sold my both bikes. I decided to check it out. I took it for a test ride and what's really odd is the more aggressive seating position holds my legs up, takes all pressure off the Sciatic nerve and I have no discomfort in my hips.  The Buell power plant is why the FZ-07 appealed to me so much.
As such I bought it back. So I now own the Buell XB12 Firebolt I originally purchased in 2006.

2006 is a very significant year for Buells. 2 things occurred in that year.
1. They realized that Harley Davidson has shet Clutches and transmissions and switched to a different brand
2. It was the last year they offered the Race kit which is a High Flow Air Filter, Crazy Exhaust and a pretuned ECU.
So when I put the deposit down on the Firebolt I made sure they got me a race kit. It actually took 2 weeks and from what I was told, I snagged one of only 3 remaining kits in the country. As the price was the same, I had no reason to think this was not the case.
This exhaust is what some aftermarket company should copy for the FZ-07.

I immediately named him Jack, which is short for Jack-O-Lantern and as usual, started to make some additions and modifications

Left and Right side Intake vents

Helibar Triple Tree

Debadged the airbox [Where most bikes have their gas tank. A Buell has this in the frame]
Debadged07.jpg

I also added the Frame Guards, front and rear Axle Sliders and the ThrottleMeister weighted bar ends. The one on the throttle locks to enable cruise control.

Yea, I have a disease, I can't leave anything alone.

While the other owner had the bike, he retuned it, improving on what EBR did and replaced the rear end of the bike, with the rear of the lightning model of XBs. The end result is a what I like to call a LightningBolt.

He did a really nice Tail tidy and removed the passenger pegs.

Since I got it back I added CRG Brake and Clutch Levers that match the wheels [same brand I added to the FZ-07]

The Levers match the wheels and windscreen quite nicely

Added LSL Scalloped Footpegs with a 1" dropped Billet base [same height as the Lightning or XBS models]

and last but not least, I added a Cowl to the rear seat to give it a bit of a Cafe Racer rear end.
[Also note the nicely polished header]
