yamahafz07
Just got a fz 07 looking thru the manual found throttle body syncs due every oil change. Has anyone been doing this or taking it in? I was looking at the motion pro or carbtune also the homemade ones I see alot in videos. Any inputs for the fz 07?
Guest ChicagoAJ
I've seen people say once a riding season should be enough. Unless your bike is stalling and having issues, they're close enough in sync. After about 30% throttle it shouldn't matter if they're a tiny bit off because both should be wide open. Most places I called asking about throttle body sync on the first service said unless it doesn't run right, they wouldn't spend the time to take everything apart to check them. I specifically called around asking about this because if I plan to pay for the first service at a dealer, I always make sure I'm getting what is supposed to be checked and what I'm paying for. I plan on marking the adjustment screws lightly before taking it in just to make sure the dealer I pick is true to their word.
yamahafz07
Okay thanks for the input. My closest dealer is 40miles away and something like the throttle body sync worries me having someone else do it don't know if they truly did it or not. I see u can get in there with a right angle carb tool to adjust the screw and and get in to pull the line and cap off the throttle bodies. I thought the every oil change was pretty quick
