othgbronco82
I have some flushmount turn signals on the front of the bike and I have another pair ready for the rear. What I was wondering is how can you retain the running light function while having LED turn signals? Is it just solder/connect the two positive wires together? Or would I have to buy a relay of some sort? If I have to buy a relay I'll just deal with out running lights. Hell, you probably wouldn't be able to see them with how bright my headlight is anyways. Premium Member Mr.Puss Posted July 12, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted July 12, 2016 I used "blinker genie", one per side. Im not sure if budget led signals will burn out as some have mentioned. I have Rizoma signals and havent had any problems in that regard. They are definitely visible through the headlight though they arent flushmount. IMO any extra lights are a benefit as they will help you be seen out there. http://www.customled.com/products/blinker-genie If swapping over to led you may want to add a relay to provide the proper lower ?voltage? to slow the blinker rate. Easy plug and play application. (The stock relay is under the left airscoop)http://www.customled.com/products/elfr-1-electronic-led-flasher-relay Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Premium Member Jeckler Posted July 12, 2016 Premium Member Share Posted July 12, 2016 Personally, I avoided the blinker genie. I didn't want my signals out of sync (front to back) and I wanted the running light to be dimmer than the signal, like stock. So I used resistors to dim the running light and diodes to keep the circuit from back feeding into the turn signals. - Andy
othgbronco82
I actually like the flash rate now as it's faster and get's your attention a little more. The hell is blinking so fast over there? Oh, it's a bike. It sounds like it's going to be more work than what my lazy ass wants to do. I was just wondering if it was going to be easy. hugson2wheels
I ordered these today.... The front signals need three wires for your DRLs to work. And as far as the faster blinking I agree.... If it makes drivers notice me faster then I'm all for it... Everyone is texting and driving these days ? Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/331940975564 If god created us in his image, does that mean god is an egomaniac as well?

Driving/texting - DWLD (driving while looking down) is one of the reasons I stopped commuting buy motorcycle. It's as rampant here as it is illegal. I've even seen cops do it.
