sprayed150
Ok, so friday I had a guy stand on his brakes in front of me and I laid down the bike, minor damage, i just got light road rash and bruises so its not the end of the world. The bike. all damage is really cosmetic or parts i was going to swap anyway. the damage is a cracked front fender, busted mirror, bent bars and looks like the risers a bit, bent shifter arm, scratched left side tank fairing, and smashed left side intake plastic. im going to get bar end mirrors and renthal ultra low bars, i was just going to take off the shifter and rebend it, if i cant get it straight ill buy some rearsets. this leaves me with needing to get risers, the front fender, and the left side intake fairing as the tank fairing can be touched up. Where does everyone get oem plastics? only from yamaha direct? also, oem risers or what is recommended?
goosed14
Hey man. Had the same exact thing happen to me. Laid down left side, i had to replace the same panels. Yamahapartshouse.com is were i got my stuff, pretty cheap and it all matched well just make sure you order the right colors out bike is the GS. (Yes i have the same color bike XD ). Then MS for matte silver for the tank panel if you replace it, I think its like 40some bucks? Also youll wanna get the dampers or little pieces of foam that stop vibration as well or you can peel them off the old an glue them back like i did lol. Anyway hope this helps. Guest ChicagoAJ
Partsfish.com almost always has the lowest price out of any parts site I've used, they also have a promo code "flat5" for $5.00 shipping. Partshark.com is another site I get OEM stuff from, they also have very reasonable prices. Both of these sites including shipping have ALWAYS been cheaper than my local dealers. Your shift lever looks fine to me, maybe I'm missing something...
