armydude52c
Just curious what temp I should let the bike warm up to before I ride. Been kinda cold here so letting it warm up to like 125 then slow riding till 170..is that ok?
Global Moderator mjh937 Posted October 22, 2016 Global Moderator Share Posted October 22, 2016 @armydude52c, That is pretty much exactly how I have done it since I got my bike. You will be fine.
Guest Ralph
Fire it up put gloves on ride off gently until the temp comes up it will warm up quicker and is better for the engine never hammer a cold engine.

Beemer
If you don't have to let your car sit and warm up to a certain temp before you drive it you don't have to with a motorcycle either. Besides, if it were critical the manual would tell us to let it sit and warm up before riding. Just don't be hard on it before you've ridden it a few minutes. tanner68
Not sure if the bike cares much if is idling or puttering along. Once "Lo" changes to a numerical temp reading, you are good to go..... go easy.
