I know it was talked about, but When I was investigating various tank pads or grips, I just for yucks went out and actually sat on my bike, very few of the supposedly custom cut grips come anywhere near where my knees and outer thigh fall on the tank. If you are 6' tall with 34" inseams don't look at tech specs, or stomp grips. Why did they spend the time designing pads that don't work for half the rider population.
 
Here is a very quick and dirty photoshop of where my knees fall. Get the blank pads and cut your own.
