Maybe he didn't see it right away or maybe he just slowed down gradually to avoid being hit from behind? I would have lost my shet right there and gone tumbling. They got snakes that kills you really quick over there, by the time Medivac got to you, it would be too late. And here we were, walking thru deep grass every night. I hate snakes.
