I'm trying to remove the stock O2 sensor, and I cannot figure out how to decouple the electrical junction.  It sure seems like there is a tab I need to depress, or pry, or pinch.  Help?

There is no disconnect at the sensor. Unplug the wire upstream about 14 inches, it's all one piece.

Looks like this:

I do mean the non sensor end.  The plastic connector does not want to come apart, and I cannot tell why.  Don’t want to break it.

Ah, you are correct. Plastic tabby. Push, wiggle, click, twist, pull, snap, success.
