Where to mount a RAM phone mount ?

I've never had a ram mount, any options for this setup (clipons)?

Controls are pretty tight.

I realize this isn't the answer you're looking for, but I don't believe in mounting a phone where I can look at it while riding.  I stop to do that.

That is a good point. I don't use the phone while riding, I just don't have room in my pockets for the phone (while seated) and I also will use it to control my go pro (turn it on, check if it is on at stop lights, turn it off).

I installed a ram ball on the top left bolt of the clamp that holds the (oem) handlebar and with an extension it angle the phone just like the screen and just above it.

may work with the clip on too

RAM Mounts Ball Adapter with M10 X 1.25 Threaded Post RAM-B-349U with B Size 1" Ball.

And then you can buy whatever phone mount that has a 1" ball socket. If it is a ram mount, you will want B size ball socket.

I just put mirrors on it...a quick search tells me there are mirror mounts (pass through which is cool).

Here is my setup...
