mossrider
I'm not sure if this one's been posted before but here it is. Interesting. I've had a rope plug in my load range E truck tire for a while. Patched on the side of no-where and saved a $300 service run.
FZ not MT
Well, I guess I should thank you mossrider as I have been thinking I'm all set with my kit that fits under my pillion seat. It's actually great because it's with me whenever I ride plus it has inflators.... BUT now I know that the my mushroom plugs are crap. It actually won't be a big deal as all I will need is some rope plugs because I have everything else. FYI, my kit is one of those Stop-and-Go inflator ones. This brings up a question, anybody know how long those Co2 cartridges are good for. I've had that under my seat for at least 4 years. I suppose I should get a new tube of glue as well. Triple Jim
CO2 cartridges should last for decades.
shinyribs
Yeah, the gas can't escape the cartridges, so they'll last pretty much forever. If one got punctured you'd know it
