fairorth
Apologize in advance because I know this was posted but I've searched and can't find it. What is the proper torque setting for the bolts attaching the exhaust pipes? Thanks! marthy
14.ft.lb should be close enough.
Premium Member GAZ Posted January 13, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted January 13, 2015 If you open this install document (link) from Akrapovic, starting on page 7 it has torque settings. Page:10 Figure: 14 is probably what you're asking for.
Premium Member jake Posted January 14, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted January 14, 2015 FYI If you look up Bolt grades and torque you can find what the torque should be for the bolt, and most the time its close to what the application call for plus or minus a few ft lbs. https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-information/bolts/US-Recommended-Torque.aspx I would say most people under torque bolts if you broke the bolt you went over lol 2015 FZ-07 2003 2014 GSXR 1000
hypnotik
Most torque specs are with 30w oil on the threads, keep that in mind. It will be vastly different if you don't lubricate the threads.
