Hello! Thanks for your time in advance! I've purchased a 2023 MT-07 and just installed the Titanium Akrapovic system with Catalytic converter. I'd like to remove the baffle and hear that beautiful sound but I'm concerned about whether or not I can do so without an ECU tune. I've called a few performance shops as well as the service center attached to the dealership that I bought the bike from and I'm getting very different answers. Later this year I plan on sending my ECU to 2WDW and getting it flashed. Would I be ok to remove the baffle and leave the Cat in on the stock tune?

Hey, I have akrapovic carbon with the original db killer, but it's too loud for me. Has anyone tried replacing the db killer with another one? From what I've seen, there are two original models: TUV148 and TUV054, but I don't know what the difference is and I don't know which one I have. Secondly, I found something like this on the internet, maybe something like this will work. If anyone has experience with this, please help

Im contenplating either the Akra Ti or the SC-Project CR-T, unfortunately I haven't been able to hear either in person so I can't understand how loud they truly are. does anyone have any recommendations or advice. (im 18 all my friends ride 2-1 built dynas that they stunt so loud is normal) but im curious about how loud the CR-T really is.

Bought the oval carbon 200mm, but even with the silencer this thing is stupid loud. Like in a scale from 0 to 10, with the stock being 3/10, this thing is an 8. Does anyone know how different the 300mm version is, in terms of volume?

I'm looking at getting a new exhaust. What are everyone's recommendations? I want something that will bring out the throaty sound of the bike but not screaming loud to piss the neighbors or areas around me off. I've been looking at the Yoshimura R77 but I'm afraid it will be too loud.

Hi guys, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I bought a used FZ07 and the seller ran a Akra Carbon without a DB killer and no tune. I'll be putting the DB killer back in. Do I need to take any more steps or will the ECU automatically adjust the fueling/timing for the added backpressure? Any advice is appreciated.

Hey guys, I just bought a new 2024 MT07 about a month ago. I've put about 30 miles on it and just bought an Akrapovic carbon full exhaust from STG. Now, I've heard of this great debate on whether or not an ECU flash or tune like a power commander is necessary to stop your engine from burning alive and damaging the bike. Some say you must tune it and others say Akra exhausts are designed with stock fuel mapping in mind and not needed. I reached out to Akra and they said a tune is not needed, but recommended. I also reached out to three different Yamaha dealers and two said needs a tune/ecu flash (Don't want to void my brand new warranty) and 1 said listen to Akra…

So I was trying to swap my stock exhaust for something with a bit more noise and I snapped one of the four exhaust bolts, there is about a centimeter showing. I'm wondering before I try and weld a nut to the bottom I will remove the battery and ecu completely. Is there any other electronics I could be risking? Anything else I should disconnect? Can I connect the ground directly to one of the new exhaust bolts for the least amount of distance the electricity has to run through the bike? I've tried vice grips and a bolt extractor. If welding a nut doesn't work I will have to drill into the bolt but I risk damaging the threads... I've also called many gar…

Hi all, son is trying to replace his stock akro baffle with that from a ktm, something that we've seen others have done successfully. The problem is that the hole for the retaining screw on the exhaust isnt going to line up with the threaded hole in the baffle. Any good ideas for a way around this?

I have had this weird exhaust leak in my bike since I bought it have an unbaffled akro system. Whenever I fully open the throttle I can hear a wild exhaust leak from the front of the bike somewhere but nothing at when idling, I have replaced the exhaust gaskets and even purchased a brand new torque wrench so I could do everything up to spec with factory Yamaha exhaust gaskets and I still get the same sound it just really takes away from the sound of the bike. I'm just wondering what should I try next I feel like it might be leaking from where the first akro pipe meets the second piece

Hello all! I have a full-system Akrapovič titanium dual pipe installed (this one) and I want to change its natural metal color to a dark black. I live in Portugal and apparently there is no quality ceramic exhaust coating service nearby, my local custom motorbike shop told me. In Portugal the quality isn't that high, so if we get it done here it'll likely flake after a year or so. We'd have to send it to the UK to get it done properly which is very expensive. Another option is using exhaust wrap, but I've heard that doing that on a titanium exhaust can ruin the metal and break the exhaust system. My questions are the following: Is the entir…

Ok have looked and thought off and on on Exhaust changes. So lets say I decide to pull the trigger and purchase the exhaust. I already know that there has been a modification of the system and the ECU will need to be "updated" here is where I am "unsure" as in choice or decision, what is best, what is required, what is needed... SO 2WDW Vance&Hines DynoJet Power Commander 3 , 5, 6 DynoJet Power Vision 3, 4 DynoJet Expansion Cobra Bazzaz I am sure there are plenty more... So a basic question is, I purchase the Graves full exhaust. Install it. Pop out the ECU and send to 2wdw. They send ECU back. I put that in.…

So I just bought my first motorcycle and my dream would be to get a akrapovic racing line exhaust for my beloved fz07, but at 1k CAD, I can't get myself to justify the cost. Has anyone ever tried to buy a downpipe and a can separatly? I fully expect to hace to do some work to get the can fitted to the bike. I'm used to mod cars and I've done some junky shet in the past, but it seems it could be done for under 400$. Which slip on would you try? I was thinking something like this for the pipe: Amazon.ca Amazon.ca Something Went Wrong / Quelque chose s'est mal passé Any thoughts?

After a couple months of research I decided on the Firetong Exhaust from Brazil. After having a hard time buying the exhaust direct from the manufacturer due to Brazils laws and taxing, I found a seller on ebay. Streetpower_com_br He was amazingly helpful. Let me tell you this guys went back and forth with me for a period of 3 weeks of question etc. He was selling a similar exhaust from brazil which is called CS Racing. He contacted the Firetong people for me and setup the whole transaction through ebay for me to make it simple. The Exhaust cost me $550 shipped with tracking. It arrived in 6 business days (after the 3 days wait to actually make the exh…

Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on exhaust finally. I know there are tons of threads and videos, and I have looked at 90% of them, but does anyone have any helpful tips and tricks? I've never been quite happy with the exhaust sound and the other day while riding I ended up with a random Harley rider as an unknowing riding on a couple different roads. While I was watching the GoPro video I realized that the Harley totally drowned out my own bike. When I first saw the TOCE Razor Tip exhaust on the FZ07 I absolutely loved it. For a while when I first got the bike it was tough to find, but I was happy that it seems like they're making them on the regular …

I just ordered the Akro titanium exhaust, and I seem to be one of the few that wasn't too leave in the db killer, but I don't really like how the db killer looks (the 2 tiny pipes in the middle of a bigass oval. So, would cutting off the 2 pipes close to the flange drastically increase the volume of the exhaust, or should I spray paint it black with high temp paint to minimize appearance? I live in a small quiet neighborhood and leave for work at 3am, would rather not piss off my neighbors.

So, PO did a nasty clamp job on an M4 slip on. Clamps are stripped and joints are leaking badly. I’m just gonna have it welded at a local shop. Any issues with this idea? The can is in real good shape and I’m happy with the sound level. Definitely keeping it, just wanna know if there’s any known issues with simply welding it on. Thanks in advance!

After putting on my Yosh exhaust system and following the advise to remove the O2 sensor, I simply wrapped it up in some extra thick plastic, rubber band it, and zip-tied it under the right side cover panel. Thought I was good to go, but I did notice that it seemed a smidge rich in sound and throttle response, but thought it couldn't be - there's no mechanism for it to get too rich, slightly richer, yes, but nothing more. So a few rides later, I'm still thinking it actually does feel rich, esp after full warm-up, it seems a little sloppy on on/off throttle response. Not super bad, but disappointing. Because I was installing some other intake mods, I didn't really care …

I have had my FZ-07 for a little over three years now. This is my first bike and I have loved it since the day I got it. I did the basic mods like blinkers, integrated back lights, tidy kit, and new mirrors right away. Since the day I got the bike I have contemplated getting an exhaust. I have read review after review and listened to too many sound clips over these years. I kept putting it off. I just felt like I couldn't warrant spending the money on it, felt like it wasn't needed. This is mostly because I kept looking at the best exhausts (which were very expensive). As well as assuming it's going to be so hard to install a new one. Once I got my stimulus che…

Can anyone confirm or refute that the Akrapovic S-Y7R1-HAFT (titanium racing exhaust) will fit the USA 2021 model (Note: this is not the carbon exhaust.) Revzilla LINK The link above as well as the Akra website indicates the exhaust will not fit, however it's hard to know if this is an emissions elimination OR an actual fitment change / elimination.

Hey everyone, EDIT: Got it out by using A LOT, and i mean A LOT of WD-40 sprayed into the gaps around the DB killer and hammering on some vise grips. The MT-09 Db killer sounds really nice I already knew getting the db killer out of the euro 4 akra titanium was a pain, but i've been literally hammering it from the inside with a piece of wood/hammer and pulling the outside with a pair of vice grips for 2 hours and it hasn't moved a millimeter... Anyone have more tips? Like i said, i've hammered from the inside, pulled from the outside, sprayed in WD-40, heated the outside, without any luck.... I bought the exhaust second hand and the DB killer has been removed a…

Hello guys. So i have a MT07 and installed it a EURO4 Akrapovic Titanium some days ago. Thing is, the muffler is too near the rear tyre, ive seen some other 07's and its not that near as mine. Ive tried to take everything out and bolt again but i cant get that space to reduce. That space gets bigger if someone sits, or the bike gets on her own weight, i guess it wouldnt touch the tyre while riding. But i dont know if ill have issues running like this. Did anyone have a similar problem?

I have read so many comments that seem like "I can't really tell if there is more power", "It might feel more powerful".... etc.... I think on the pre '21 model the exhaust tubes look rather good coming down together in parallel uncovered. On my 2021 however, the pipes are really short, meeting right away in the catalytic converter located at the front and covered by a silver shield which stands out like a sore from the otherwise blacked out engine. The rest of the pipe is covered in unsightly weld marks. I am thinking to discard the shield and wrap the pipes and the catalytic converter in black wrap, from the headers to the muffler. I would do this primarily for looks and secondarily for burn/heat protection. I am not after HP gains or any other claimed benefits. I am aware of the pros an…

I ordered an Akra Carbon about a month back from a Canadian online retailer. It looks like it could be another month or so before I receive the exhaust and I've already had my ECU tuned by 2WDW for the exhaust - no other intake or performance mods. Would there be any harm to my bike by running the Akra tune while having the stock exhaust reinstalled? Our riding season is so short I have to make the best of it. April - September typically. Less one month for rain.

On yt you can check sound using phrase "edhaust" I don't want to do this on my own exhaust and I want to buy another on cheap. I want to keep mine stock. And here is problem that offer I got is a exhaust with rusted ends on headers. Could someone told me if I remove the rust and use later Cooper antisieze it prevents from rusting? Or it is, let me say, chrome type of material (not polished steel) and once rusted it will come back? In attachment the pictures. Thanks for replies in advance.

Hey guys any suggestions on how to clean up the headers on our exhaust? Mine have gotten grimey with a combination of bluing, road grime and a little bit of burnt oil. They look like shet and with Marthys exhaust coming I wanted to clean them up and bring back the even appearance they started out with. Only had chromed exhaust before so I'm unsure what products to use in accordance with the finish Yamaha used. Thanks fellows.
