dizzid1320 Posted July 16, 2015 Share Posted July 16, 2015 Looks like this guy installed a battery tender plug directly onto the battery with a fuse. This method means those wires have constant 12V and will either power an external device or take a charge for the battery w/o turning the bike on. This is not the same as the factory 12V switched plug on the left side (he mentions it in the vid). This, to me, is a better solution for powering external devices as it only works when the bike is on and you'll never accidentally kill the battery by forgetting that something was plugged in, assuming you didn't leave the key on. If you store the bike for extended periods, you will want to also do what this guy did and add the battery tender plug. Or, don't bother with the install and just use alligator clips on the batt terminals when you use the tender for a long time. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
