Cheap fender Elimination kit, why pay $100+

If you are like me and refuse to pay $100 or more for fender elimination kit, call me a cheap skate, but some of you would agree. I wouldn't get that Yoshimura fender elimination unless it came free with their exhaust. I honestly think this is one of the items on the fz-07 you can just get on amazon, I don't trust Chinese shorty levers or other important components. But fender elimination for $100+ is over priced in my opinion.

I got this from amazon and it works fine and has a place for an LED license light for a small extra cost.

I also put an flush mount turn signal and led strips for rear turn signal. I didn't like the old signals or license plate bracket. This makes the bike more flush with less stuff hanging out.

You chose the product of a vendor known on this board for quality work. There are even cheaper alternatives that tend to break at inconvenient times.

Thanks to the link the lights. I have the Yoshimura fender eliminator (I agree it was a bit much, and the plate lights are already not working after riding in the rain a lot). I have some pretty nice regular signals but I think I may splice that wire and attach these extra lights to the back of the passenger footpeg mounts or something cool.

That spot you see in the picture under the seat stays pretty dry, I've gotten cought in the rain once with no issues.

I paid $45+$20 for Motodynamic, which came with LED plate light and stock adapter and signals from EBay. Your's looks good though! Kinda wish this had been posted sooner, lol.

Personally $100 is too much for me. I bought mine off ebay for about $50. Just received it from china. Seems to be very well constructed. I always try to buy Canadian or American first but some of these manufactures charge too much. I dont mind paying more, but charging $200 plus for a simple piece of metal. I don't think so. Not for me anyways. The each their own.

I have heard people printing out parts with the 3d printers. I have never thought I would of ever wanted to use a 3d printer.

No issues with washing when it comes to your blinker strips on the back end? I dig this look, and have been shopping around for a tail setup for the past week. Thanks for posting!

No issues, I wash my bike with water spray bottle, don't use high pressure water or hose, clean up area well with alcohol pads before instal, if it ever falls off, 3m tape is cheap :)

Done! But I added them just below the main seat instead of the passenger footpeg mounts (was worried they would get too dirty there).

I like the positioning of the turn signals and plate on the stock bike. Personally, I added more lights. I want to make sure those behind me, stay behind me. The LEDs on the plates are so bright when applied that cagers will not tailgate me.

The LED lights in the GIVI bags are run/turn/brake lights.

I am all about giving the cagers all the help I can when it comes to being seen. Will be working the front of the bike soon.

I think I got a pretty good deal for what I paid. My kit came with a fender eliminator, four LED turn signals and LED license plate light. It's sturdy and holding up well so far.

I like how you "added" to help make yourself be seen without making it look gaudy. Looks good! I'm strangely in the mood for splicing.

I'm on your side. I just can't justify to pay £100 or more for a piece of metal. But of course i don't want to buy the scrappiest either.
Actually, I came across with this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252432757363

Made in Poland which rather nice and with a good price.
And....
With 1 year warranty. Not bad
